Hello, my name is Austen! I joined the Clowers group in 2013, which currently makes me a fourth year graduate student. I am no stranger to the rolling hills of the Palouse; I graduated from Washington State University as an undergraduate in 2013. Go Cougs!<\/p>\n

My research is focused primarily on the detection and collection of suspected nuclear material. The \u00a0instrument currently utilized for my research is a custom-built atmospheric pressure drift tube coupled to a commercial time of flight mass spectrometer(apIMS-TOF) available through TOFWERK. \u00a0Although\u00a0my experience has primarily been focused on gas-phase metal species and non-covalent interactions, I have had the opportunity to explore a wide range of chemical compounds\/classes and their interactions with neutrals under low-field conditions.<\/p>\n
